Woodmoor Elementary is a
Title I school located in the southwestern area of Baltimore County. Our
school consists of approximately 500 students serviced by all
highly-qualified teachers and staff.
The mission of Woodmoor Elementary is to provide a quality education for
all students. Our school is dedicated to providing a rigorous and
differentiated instructional program for our students that motivates,
challenges, and encourages them to become life-long learners. This
mission is accomplished through excellence in teaching, technology,
partnering with parents and community, and creating a safe and nurturing
environment through the PBIS program.
Enrichment and academic programs such as Extended Day Reading and Math,
100 Book Challenge, Reading Research Lab, Book Clubs, Science Fair,
Black Saga, MESA, 24 Challenge Club, Get the Message, Boys’ Choir, and
Girls’ Club are provided for the students at Woodmoor.
Woodmoor Elementary has an active School Improvement Team and
Parent-Teacher Association, along with dedicated volunteers. Our
students benefit from the combined supports of school staff, parents,
teachers, and community members.
